Sax & Piano Tutor
Bsc in Psychology and Neuroscience
My home studio is based in Kogarah, teaching piano and saxophone lessons for adults and kids from the St. George area and across Sydney.
I mostly have students coming from suburbs like Kogarah, Rockdale, Brighton, Hurstville, Bexley & Sans Souci for sax lessons and piano lessons. Although generally, students come from all over Sydney.
The best time to start is right now! I provide piano lessons and saxophone lessons for adults, kids, teens and seniors.
Kids learn better because their brains are more neuroplastic, but adults have better learning ability and self-discipline, so it evens out. The biggest determinant of your progress will be the frequency and quality of your individual practice.
Here are some happy students and parents!
Luka has been teaching my daughter saxophone for the past 5 years. He is an enthusiastic, friendly and easygoing teacher. Luka is dedicated to his students, and often stays longer than the allocated lesson time. He has helped my daughter achieve an A mark for Grade 4 and 5 saxophone comprehensive exams. She is now working towards Grade 6 exam.
I would recommend Luka as a saxophone teacher.
Luka works well with Alex, he’s not just teaching him music the whole time, he talks a bit about communication in general and confidence. Alex tells me lessons are organised but also can take sudden turns in new directions when he asks the right questions, making the lesson feel like a learning adventure.
Thank you Luka for the A he’s received, we’re very happy with his quick progress. “
Luka has ways to motivate my son to love and enjoy music using his ability to relate to him as young person. Success at exam, is not only the benefit, he has a positive influence on their schooling and general interest at home.
I highly recommend Luka as it seems there is a great deal of fun and learning music going on in these lessons.

With a BSc in Psychology and Neuroscience, I apply my knowledge of mind-muscle connection, neuroplasticity, muscle-memory and attention to help students learn saxophone and piano fast and develop practice techniques they can use at home.
Nothing progresses you faster than understanding the inner workings of your brain, mind and muscles.
If you can hack this, your progress will skyrocket.
Every lesson, my goal is to help students independently learn saxophone or piano,
so they can one day endeavour on their musical journey by themselves.
As a certified piano and saxophone instructor, I provide comprehensive AMEB preparation (including required pieces, technical work, aural tests, general knowledge), with dedicated accompanists and music theory teaching.
Or questions you might’ve not thought of
$90/hour for saxophone lessons and $90/hour for piano lessons, but lessons often go over 1 hour though I only charge for an hour.
Yes! Almost everyone who books a trial lesson is satisfied and wants to continue. Regardless, I will provide you with a lot of help and advice so it’s worth it.
I usually have lessons at my home in Kogarah 2217. I also drive to student’s places in some circumstances, if they live close-by.
My saxophone lessons and piano lessons are clear, supportive and value packed.
We’ll go through the fundamentals, how to practice properly, and musicality. Most students go through AMEB and get A’s and A+ grades.
My communication is very clear and simple, and I use all kinds of imagery to help stick concepts in my students minds all the time. The lessons are fast-paced and energetic, we’re always learning.
My sax lessons and piano lessons often last longer than 1-hour, though I charge only an hour’s time.
My goal as saxophone teacher and piano teacher is for students to become their own teachers, so they can discipline themselves and learn anything they want.
I take on a maximum of 15 students at a time, and I currently have 12 students.
